Countertop Refinishing Alternative to Replacing

I'm helping a listing client with a renovation project on a budget. We decided to try countertop refinishing rather than replacing. The advantage of refinishing is about a 50% savings over replacement, plus there's no demolition mess nor lengthy waiting period for new countertop installation.

Going this route was also more affordable for our client than replacing since the countertops in this home are larger with unique angles. We were offered about 40 different colors of granite-like designs to choose from, and went with the gray and black multi-stone look which has turned out to be a very nice contrast to the white cabinetry.
