Curb Appeal Start with the outside of your home, also called your curb appeal. Inspect the outside of your home from a street perspective. What do you notice first? What great characteristics seem hidden?
Acknowledging this helps us to choose what measures we can take to invite buyers from the street and into your house. If your home isn't attractive on the outside with touched up paint and blooming greenery we'll need to tackle those issues. Refer to the Curb Appeal Checklist and elevate your home's final selling price.

"Welcome to your new home!"
Can buyers envision themselves watching a movie in your living room, unwinding in your reading nook or inviting family and friends over for a dinner in your eat-in kitchen? I want your Open House to pleasantly accept buyers and offer them a sense of comfort. I'll help you accomplish this by suggesting changes that enhance your home's features.
I'll tell you put out of sight anything that gives the appearance of clutter. Table and counter tops should be cleared off. Knickknacks, sentimental items, family photos, and refrigerator works of art should get moved out of sight. You need to "generalize" the home so buyers can see it as their new house.
I know instantly where a room's best features are and how to highlight them. I'll point out the pieces of furniture that should be rearranged, rooms that need new paint, rugs needing to get changed, fixtures that could use brightening, and any other improvement that can quickly be made to positively influence the sale.
Buyers want a residence that charms them. Personal items that could be unsightly should be put away so that your house will achieve mass appeal at the open house.

Setting the Stage
I'll tell you when to open your home up to buyers, because all of the improvements mesh together to paint a picture of what buyers can envision after they choose to buy your house.
Dark rooms can be a real mood killer, so we'll do things like part the curtains and change light bulbs where needed to show off your property. Together we'll enhance the mood of the house with enjoyable music to listen to while guests tour your home and ensure a delightful scent circulates room-to-room. We'll incorporate cozy-looking throws, and place pillows on your love seat and bed. Buyers should feel like your current home has the potential to be. |
