Week of August 6, 2012

Single-family existing homes

  • Sales of single-family homes decreased to 260 during the week of Aug 5, from 431 the week prior
  • The median price of single family homes decreased to $130,550, a change of -9.3%
  • The number of single-family home foreclosure transactions decreased to 44 last week, from 76 the week of Jul 29
  • The number of single-family home short-sale transactions decreased to 74 from 115 the week prior
  • Single-family inventory increased by 81, and now sits at 8,542

Condos, townhomes, and villas

  • Sales of condos, townhomes, and villas decreased to 87 during the week of Aug 5, from 137 the week prior
  • The median price of condos, townhomes, and villas increased to $80,000, a change of 10.9%
  • The number of condo, townhome, and villa foreclosure transactions decreased to 22 last week, from 25 the week of Jul 29
  • The number of condo, townhome and villa short-sale transactions decreased to 22 from 39 the week prior
  • Condo inventory increased by 53, and now sits at 2,162
